Interview: Hog Wild of Baby, You're As Sweet as 3.14159265

At the Other End:
Former Washington Post columnist and author of the book “The Science of Single” Rachel Machacek wrote unsolicited glowing praise on her web site for HogWild’s style of dating-related humor, “This dude is HUL-arious. Seriously entertaining."

Award-winning stand-up comedian HogWild has collected his best jokes, stories, and hysterical dating advice from his New York City stage show and his popular video series to create an enjoyable read that will leave you laughing.

Shhh....... Don't Tell:

The most important tip to dating on social networks is to avoid making the mistake of “liking” you own status.

Because when you "like" your own Facebook status it's like when you're having sex and you slap your own ass.

---

A lot of girls like a guy who is a bad-ass. That’s why my conversations with women go like this:

GIRL: I like a man of danger.

ME: Come back to my place and we'll open the .exe attachments in my email!

---

Dear Shirtless Guy in his Profile Picture, you REALLY want to impress girls? Get a job and pose in front of your cubicle.

---

Dear Guy at the Dance Club, Please stop grinding random girls from behind like you are some kind of creepy penis-shaped bulldozer.

---

They say you can get a girl to like you, if you can make her jealous. So I make sure the girl sees me with a pretty expensive handbag!

---

Girls like when you tell them about the adorable things that children do. For instance, like when my little nephew asked me, "When babies are in the tummy do they use mommy's belly button as a window?"

Cute!

Thank God he didn't ask what they use as a door!

Take A Seat. Get Strapped In. Let's Go For A Ride:

1. Where have we seen you before? (previous projects/works)

First of all, thank you Gina for allowing me to connect with your audience! I’m excited to meet the people who read your reviews!

I’m a humor author for Young Adults and my new book is called “Baby, You're as Sweet as
3.14159265” (101 Funny Love Advice Answers, 20 Sexy Stories, & Lots of Jokes) It’s for sale on Amazon.

Previous to this book, I was published in Mad Magazine (America’s longest running comedy magazine) and I’ve had my comedy writing featured on Comedy Central TV and Clear Channel Radio. I’m also a stand-up comedian and I’ve performed on nearly every major stage in New York City. My web site also has a great following of awesome fans since 1999.

2. What goes through your mind after your novel has been on sale for the first week?

My exact thought process is, “OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! I hope people like it!!!” Haha. Actually before I publish any book I get as much feedback from people I trust as possible to be sure I only put out the best possible material. I believe in really respecting the time of your readers.

3. What inspired you to write this novel?

I wrote the book after so many of my YouTube fans asked me to write it! I write and record dating advice videos and people (mostly young adults) kept asking me to create a book of funny love advice and dating stories.

4. What do you think about when getting/seeing negative reviews?

I think, “OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG! Why do they hate me?! They’re such a poopy-head!” haha :) Thankfully, I mainly have received very positive reviews so I never let one person’s opinion (good or bad) affect my confidence. As a writer, you have to take risks and one risk is that people will not receive your work as you hope.

5. How long was the writing/planning process?

I didn’t time it but some where between 6 months of arduous joke writing and 10 years of learning how to be funny.

6. What was your reaction to the cover art when you saw it for the first time? Did you have any ideas from the days of writing/inspiration?

I love the cover. Dolphins are the coolest!

7. Any plans for future writing projects? Any being worked on now?

After this book, I have another humor book that will be published by Running Press in 2013. I also write new jokes on my twitter, and I post funny stuff on my web site.

Well, of course I think it’s an awesome and hilarious book. But the reviews from important reviewer-people on my book’s Amazon page will tell you why other people love the book! :) You can read them on Amazon.
