Stacking the Shelves (14)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
Holiday haul and some pretty amazing review copies!! Yes, this is another Friday post :)

Thank you Bloomsbury Publishing Australia, Allen & Unwin Australia and Simon and Schuster Australia for sending me these review copies!
Thanks to Bloomsbury Publishing Australia
Apple and Rain by Sarah Crossan
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
I can't believe my sticker idea came to life! Yes, I have proof (photo below). I hadn't read the book then, but I definitely love the final text on the sticker better than my text idea :) I can't wait to read these ones! I've been waiting for The Winner's Curse for so long. I definitely prefer this cover with the darker hues over the US one.

Thanks to Allen & Unwin Australia
Razorhurst by Justine Larbalestier
I've heard good things about this one. I can't wait to read it :) I'm still a bit hesitant, but I'll see how it goes when the time comes. Ohh this cover in person is so cool! In the photo you can see the background.

    1. I NOW HAVE THE WHOLE SERIES!! *squeeeeeee* they look soooooo good together :D haha only the idea of doing it, I didn't actually come up with the design or anything. She told me about it after she read the manuscript, so we just kept talking and talking about it! Well...... their office is right next to Haigh's Chocolates..............

  2. It's a shame we missed each other in Brisbane, but hopefully we'll be able to catch each other sometime! There are so many discounted bookshops, it's hard to stay away though. I love browsing through them and finding really good books that you are surprised by how cheap they are. I just love your bookmarks, do you get them printed at officeworks or something? I might print some myself :)

How cute was the package for Apple & Rain! I loved the sticker warning and the tissues.

    Have a lovely week Gina!

    1. Ohhh I know! Hopefully another time we can definitely catch up :) Yes, I was so surprised that there is basically one in every shopping centre, and they are all different ones too! Yes, I got them printed at officeworks! I'll update the bookmark tab now with the paper details etc that I used. I can send you some if you like? Thanks! Enjoy your week too.

  3. The Gone series covers! I'm struggling to find the new editions, even the bookshops don't seem to have them. I want them to match! I bought the Kindle version of Hunger in the meantime. Wasn't the packaging so cute! Brilliant idea. You know, you should have a word in their ear to include gifts in with copies, money, prizes. Although having a head cold at the moment, seen the packet on top of the book in my bookcase and had to use them. I have a feeling we'll all be sobbing our eyes out with that one.

  4. Wow...nice haul! I just read Easy recently and LOVED it! It's made my top ten books I've read so far this year too. I've heard great things about The Winner's Curse and I really need to start The Selection series! Happy reading!

  5. You did get a great assortment of books! I liked The Winner's Curse very much. I hope you enjoy it too. Larbalestier is an author I always mean to read but never seem to get around too. I hope that one is good too. Come see what I got this week at Ms. Martin Teaches Media and Inside of a Dog. Happy reading!

    1. I really hope i enjoy it as much as you did. Thank you! I've never read any of her books, so I hope this one goes well, even though I'm taking a bit of a risk reading it because I'm unsure if I will like it or not.
