Stacking the Shelves (18)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
Busy week in books this week!

Review:
Thank you Penguin TEEN Australia, Allen & Unwin Australia, Bloomsbury Publishing Australia, Simon and Schuster Australia, HarperCollins Australia and HardieGrant Egmont Australia for sending me these review copies!
Thanks to Penguin TEEN Australia
Masquerade by Kylie Fornasier
How gorgeous is this cover! Unfortunately, because we don't have a mail box now (stupid roadworks), the mail man leaves my parcels on the other side of the fence with our dogs..... Poor book, the back got ripped. Oh well, I'll probably buy a copy to replace this one when it comes out :D

Thanks to Allen & Unwin Australia
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
Whooo, I'm so excited for this book. I haven't exactly heard much about the book, but I've seen heaps of people have been reading it and pictures of copies everywhere! Watch out for my review and interview with E. Lockhart as part of the Aussie Blog Tour on 30 July!

Thanks to Bloomsbury Publishing Australia
Wish You Were Italian (If Only #1) by Kristin Rae
Fool Me Twice (If Only #2) by Mandy Hubbard
These look so fun and quirky. Who didn't wish they were Italian :P We make awesome food, be jealous.

Thanks to Simon and Schuster Australia
Split Second (Split Second #1) by Sophie McKenzie
Yay! The amazing S&C team sent me the first book to read while I wait for the second to come out, Every Second Counts. Looks really interesting this series. I can't wait until I start it!

Thanks to HarperCollins Australia
Four: A Divergent Collection by Veronica Roth
Seriously, who doesn't know about this series! I absolutely adore the cover! Be on the look out during July for my review of Four because I will be doing something special ;) Ok, it's a giveaway. Sheesh, I can't keep this quite, I'm that excited.

Thanks to HardieGrant Egmont Australia
Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant
No way. Look how very ARC-y this is! It's even got a paper front cover and back cover! Watch out, this comes September.

Purchased:
Dreams of Gods and Monsters (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #3) by Laini Taylor
Sorry about this terrible photo. This is the ultra pretty hardback so the cover is all shiny-shiny and look way better in real life! I can't wait to read this series now, especially because it's staring at me in the face and whispering sweet promises (example. "Read Me, I'm Pretty... and Shiny")

    1. Thanks! I've started it as well, as it's going good so far. I really like the writing, it's different, yet a little confusing at times. Enjoy your week!

  2. Ohhh, you have Four? YAY FOR FOUR. I'm so excited for that one. x) So sad about Masquerade getting ripped...our local postman decided to squish 3 books into our tiny letter box. -_- Lucky they didn't get TOO bent but still. I was worried. Oh and I dropped everything and read We Were Liars at the first second possible. IT IS AMAZING.

    1. YES! I'll be giving away a copy of the Adult version (like I got) soon with my review. Same here :( It's depressing seeing a book ripped. That's ok, in a sense. It's not the worst that could happen, but it's still bad. I swear, when I get my own place, I'm going to buy those parcel mail boxes :D I've started it, and it's going really good so far!! Can't wait to see how it all goes.

  3. Masquerade has a gorgeous cover, I'll have to look that up! I'm not sure about the cover of We Were Liars, I think the font is a bit too much, prefer the original. It's a great book though, I hope you love/loved it!

    1. Even more gorgeous in real life! The colour is amazing, as well as the design. Hmmm, I'm in the middle with We Were Liars font, I like it, but maybe if it were a bit smaller and not as bold, then it would have been better.... maybe. I've started it as it's going good so far! Thanks,

  5. I'm positive I commented on here the other night. I think my Kindle may be eating my comments.
Don't you love that proof copy of Messenger of Fear, it feels that much more special. Urgh about the ripped cover. Was the packaging ripped too? Our delivery used to shove books in our letter box at times when he's obviously running late, it's annoying. That's how we end up with mangled dust jackets and bent back covers. It's a travesty, Auspost and their blatant book abuse.

    1. Hmmm, I haven't gotten any other comment, other than this one :(
Yes! It's so cool, and the book is really good! I know right, yeah, there was literally no packaging, the dogs ripped the whole packaging off. Very annoying, We should write multiple letters of complaint! I'm going to invest in a parcel mail box one day.
