Stacking the Shelves (27)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Thank you Simon and Schuster Australia for sending me this review copy!

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick
So this is a final copy of the novel, I missed out on getting it before when they were floating around. This one sounds really good, and I can't wait to get stuck into it. I'm hoping for a good thriller here with lots of shocking plot twists and such.

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black
After absolutely loving The Darkest Part of the Forest, I think I fell into a mild Holly Black obsession, and went directly online to buy a copy of this book. I need more Holly Black in my life peoples!! tDPotF was seriously good, and if that is anything to go by, I can't wait to read this.

From my amazing boyfriend
Lirael and Abhorsen (Old Kingdom #2 & #3) by Garth Nix
So, I think after Kelly's (Diva Booknerd) tweets on Tuesday, that you all could tell that it was my birthday :D Yep, 21 doesn't feel any different than usual, but anyway...
My boyfriend brought me these two lovelies (and many other things) so now I have the whole series up until Clariel! (I've heard there will be more books after Clariel). After showing him an array of books, he chose these because they have such awesome covers :D

  2. I've been really wary of Black Ice because of the negative hype surrounding her Hush, Hush trilogy but I'll admit I'm still curious to see if her writing has grown or improved since then. And I haven't read anything by Holly Black, but I've heard such good things about her books, so I'm anxious to give them a try. Thanks for sharing Gina, and happy reading! <3

    1. I know what you mean. I read Hush Hush back when I was in school, and I remember that I liked the first book but then it went downhill from there. Not to sure what I liked about it, but still. She is amazing. I've only read one book from her, but she basically becomes an obsession! Thanks :)

    1. Same here, I've heard good things about it, but I've got a few expectations because it's meant to be thriller. I still haven't had the chance to pick it up either. We should read it together!! Thank you, I did :) ohh thats ok haha

  4. Aww, the lovely boyfriend did well. I haven't read those yet, so looking forward to seeing how you go with them. Nice work boyfriend. LOL. I actually just started Black Ice and so far, it's pretty good. The main character starts off as a complete knob, but that soon falls away. Wish she just had of begun without the bimbo persona in the first place. Ooh, I've wanted to read the Coldest girl in Coldtown since it came out. Looking forward to seeing if it's any good, then I'll nab a copy too.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY GINA BEAR!!

    1. Yep, he did very well :) I haven't either, but I've heard an endless amount of good things about this series. Ohh that's good, I'm looking forward to it now, can't wait to see your final thoughts on it. That's good... in a way, but kind of annoying at the same time. hahaha. I will definitely let you know if you need to have this :) or I might just surprise you with it :P Thank you!!!!!!
