Stacking the Shelves (28)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Thank you Penguin Teen Australia for sending me these review copies!

The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancey
I'm so excited to start this series after hearing so many good things about it!! Definitely has now been moved to the top of my pile :D

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
Ohhh, this one sounds really good! Plus, I love the little "I have a dream" sticky note :D Can't wait to get started! This one comes out January 2015

The Memory of After (The Memory Chronicles #1) by Lenore Appelhans
Of course I had to re-buy this new cover to match my second book! Plus, I like this cover a lot more than the original one, shhhhh.

More Than This by Patrick Ness

I've heard numerous times that this is a confusing book, so I'm definitely going to read it when I have quite a lot of time and just read it really carefully (or just even re-read it once I've finished)
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
So, I've read this book already, but I had borrowed a friend's copy back when I was in school (just about 3 years ago now), and even though I loved it, I never got around to buying myself a copy. So now I've been scouring around for a gorgeous cover edition of the book, and ta daa!! What do you think? I would have preferred this one, but I can't find it anywhere (not even online)

  1. Oh I LOVE The Book Thief. ^-^ I really do. And I love that reddish cover...I'm going to buy it myself sometime soon but I have to decide which cover to get!! ARGH! That's like the toughest part. ;-) I adored More Than This too, but yes, kind of confusing at the end. >.> Very open for interpretation, you know? STILL. Enjoy these gorgeous books!!!

    1. How good was it!! I love it too :D It's from Big W, and it's probably the best looking one there, unless you want the movie tie-in. Ohh, thanks I will remember that when I get a chance to read it. Thank you!!

  2. I also got The Infinite Sea! I am so excited to start it, the anticipation has been killing me all year. OOh All The Bright Places sounds good. I saw the whole sticky note thing going on on twitter a while ago but never got to make a contribution. I hope that's a good read!

Have a lovely week, Gina <33

    1. YAY! Same here, I haven't read the first book yet, so I'm dying to read this series in general lol. I saw it too, but I only saw it when PTA were writing them all. Same here, I didn't request it so I'm keeping an open mind. Thank you! <3

  3. The Infinite Sea! I absolutely loved it! I can't wait to see what you think of it Gina bear, it has such a different feel from book one and prepare yourself for the feeeeeels. I love the copy of The Book Thief you bought much more than the other cover. Mine is the movie tie in edition (although I still haven't read it). I loved More Than This as well, it's really quite involved but you'll fly through it. Awesome haul this week. Hurry up and read The Infinite Sea so we can talk about it :D

    1. *mentally prepares self* I'm just happy that I get to read book 1 and 2 straight after one another. I read them after we finish Lies!! I'm warming up to the cover I brought more than the original one I liked too, I think it's the simplicity of the cover :D YOU NEED TO READ IT (and make sure you have tissues). Oh YAY, now I really can't wait to read it! hahaha you will be the first to know!

  4. I absolutely adored The Fifth Wave, so I am SO excited to see what you think of the sequel! I hope it lives up to the awesomeness of the first book - ha! ;)

And I requested All the Bright Places on Netgalley a while back, but they still haven't approved my request for some reason. Anyhow, I do love the concept and I hope that the execution is just as good!

The Book Thief and More than This are both absolutely fantastic, and I hope you end up enjoying them just as much as I did! :D Thanks for sharing and, as always, BRILLIANT post! <3

    1. Excellent! I'm so excited to read the 5th Wave & Infinite Sea right now after you all telling me how amazing it is!!!!!
Hmmm, that's strange? I've had a few of those kind of ones back when I wasn't on my Self-NetGalley-Ban, sometimes they just forget to check or only approve a handfull then more later on towards the release date. I will let you know how good it turns out to be!
YAY! Now I really can't wait to read More than This :D Yes, I loved The Book Thief, and still remember how much I cried when I read it (over 2 years ago).
      Thank you!!! <3
