Stacking the Shelves (29)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
I only got one book last week, so I've decided to combine it with this week!
Thank you Penguin Australia, Allen & Unwin Australia and Bloomsbury Australia for sending me these review copies!

Thanks to Penguin Australia
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
I didn't request this book, but I've been hearing a whole heap of brilliant things about it, so I'm really excited to start it now :)

Thanks to Allen & Unwin Australia
Crash (Twinmaker #2) by Sean Williams
I can't wait to get stuck into this one. Loving the covers of this series as well!!
Read my review of Jump, the first book in the series here.

Thanks to Bloomsbury Australia
Whisper the Dead (Lovegrove Legacy #2) by Alyxandra Havey
Cormack!! I really hope we get to see some of that swoon worthy male in this second book, or at least find someone just as swoon worthy for Gretchen. SO SO SO excited to read this! I really feel like re-reading the first book now :D
Read my review of A Breath of Frost, the first book in the series here.

Thanks to Allen & Unwin Australia
Jonah from Tonga by Chris Lilley (COMIC)
Sunker's Deep by Lian Tanner
As well as the books above, A&U also sent me these two unsolicited copies! I didn't get to watch the TV series of Jonah, but I've watched Summer Heights High (ages ago). Sunker's Deep looks alright.... might give it a shot later on.

Thanks to Bloomsbury Australia
Pathfinder by Angie Sage
Conjured by Sarah Beth Durst
Starry Nights by Daisy Whitney
More unsolicited copies!! Definitely excited about Conjured (hello, approval from LAINI TAYLOR, plus, the blurb sounds AMAZING). Not too sure about Starry Nights, but I'm looking forward to Pathfinder.

Thanks to the author, Michelle!
Diamonds in the Rough (Secret Diamond Sisters #2) by Michelle Madow
I amazing is Michelle! She sent me a final copy of Diamonds in the Rough, another signed bookmark AND a diamond sticker! The first book was brilliant, and can't wait to see what Vegas has in store for these sisters. PLUS, I'm mentioned in the acknowledgements!! How cool is that! *high fives fellow street team members*

The Secrets of Pistoulet by Jana Kolpen
The Legend of the Villa Della Luna by Jana Kolpen
My lovely aunty got these two books for me. I used to love Villa Della Luna and read it all the time when I was at her house, now I've got myself a copy! Not to mention, she surprised me with another book from the same author, which turns out to be the book before Villa! These books are absolutely beautiful, and you NEED to take a look at these. They have hidden letters and flaps inside, illustrations on every page, gorgeous paper, recipes, fantasy, love and magic.

  1. Ooh, a LOT of unsolicited ones there. :-) I got Conjured and All The Bright Places...but that last one? ALFDKSAJFDK. I was SO amazed by it it's like one of my favouritest books of ever now. And Conjured? It doesn't look my thing...buuut, if Laini Taylor says it's good. XD I'm easily persuaded.

    1. Yep, makes me feel very very loved :D Conjured and ATBP look amazing, and thought the same thing when I saw Conjured! Then I read the back and it was a done deal and moved it up :P YAAAY!! I can't wait to read it!!! I've been looking forward to it since the first book ended! (we are talking about Whisper the Dead correct?)

  2. Great ARC week you had Gina! Congrats on the signed Diamonds in the Rough, sounds like the best prize you can get from an author. I got the Jonah from Tonga book as well and don't know what to do with it, I never watched any of the actor's shows. I just love the All the Bright Places with the sticky notes!

    1. Thanks! I was so excited to get it, plus I wasn't expecting it as well so double bonus! I KNOW RIGHT!! I had a flip through it (literally a 5 second flip through) and just put it on my trade pile (not that I would trade it, rather than give it to salvos or a library). My sister laughed when I showed it to her, she was just as confused about me getting it as I was.

  3. Ooh, look at all the purdy books! There must have been high fives all round with the postie this week. Those Jana Kolpen books are GORGEOUS! I love those type of family style books, I've got quite a few in my recipe cupboard in the kitchen with kitchen tips, quirky little facts and just loveliness. Wow, what an amazing achievement, being in the acknowledgements! You must have been totally stoked. I haven't read book one yet, but have a copy. I'll have to grab book two so I can bask in your glory <3 What an incredible week!

    1. They are sooo pretty! You absolutely have to see them. I'll take a photo of some of the pages for you, they are divine. The recipe's included in those books tell you the kind of person you need to buy the veggies from and everything, it's so adorable, I love them!! It was so exciting! I've got the Aus and US edition of the first book, so when the second book comes out here, I'm going to have to grab our copy too :D <3

  4. I will sit patiently while you read All The Bright Places. Well, not so patiently - read it, go, quick, run, go!!! :)

Amazing haul this week hun! I also got Crash and Sunkers Deep. But, I will say, I am more than a little jealous about Conjured! It has Laini's seal of approval on it, I desperately want to read this book now! (sadly I couldn't find it in store over the weekend).

Happy reading! And let me know when you finish All the Bright places :)

    1. I can't wait to read it, it's going really good so far!! haha i'll let you know how Conjured goes! Online is always the best, half the books I receive from publishers I don't find in the shops :( Only select ones that are completely out of the way.
I will definitely let you know, or well, you will know when I do :D

Thanks for leaving a comment, I love hearing what you have to say and talking to you all!
