Stacking the Shelves (31)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Thank you Simon and Schuster Australia for sending me this review copy!

Every Second Counts (Split Second #2) by Sophie McKenzie
This series looks so good, I can't wait to get started!

Finally, I have brought the last book in this series! The hardback is gorgeous with the green and gold. The first and second book have been staring at me and begging me to get this last one since it came out... better late than never!

Thank you to the wonderful Eugenia at Genie in a Book!
I've heard so many things about this book, and I just want to hurry up and read it, so I can see what everyone is talking about! I've seen it compared to The Selection series, but I haven't read that series yet, so I wonder how this will go for me?

  2. The Chemical Garden Trilogy looks really interesting, and I've had my eye on buying 'Wither' for a while now, but just haven't gotten to it yet. Glad to see that The Jewel arrived, hope you like it :)

    1. There is a whole heap of mixed reviews for Wither, but it's a very interesting story, and I can't wait to finally read the next two books in the series. I might need to read Wither again though since it's been such a long time. Thank you again!!!! I'm so excited to start it :)

  3. The Chemical Garden Trilogy is Amazing! I read all three books in two days. Have you started the first two yet? Honestly, if you havent started them yet, good because you'll want to have all the copies available since they all contain cliff hanger endings. Marathon these...you'll be glad you did! I also have the Jewel but I havent started it yet. I'm excited but I have so many titles I need to review first before I start this one. Great haul! Have a great reading week!

    1. I've only read the first book, but I'll definitely be starting the series again when I get around to reading it. I can't really remember much about what happened in the first book, so I need a refresher :) Oh really? That's good then, I can binge read them :D I love doing that! I'm the same, so many books, so little time... Thanks, you too!

  4. I actually just bought Wither, after seeing the author vocally supporting bloggers on twitter against the Kathleen Hale shitstorm.

I actually liked The Jewel as well. It was a bit naff with the instant love. But the ending was the best part, not because I was glad it was over, but it ends in a cliffhanger that I didn't see coming and sets the storyline up for an even better second in the series. Really looking forward to seeing what you think of it Gina <3

    1. Yes, I saw all that too and I'm pretty sure I actually started clapping. How gorgeous is the cover for Wither?!
Ohh, I'm really excited for it now, although, you kind of want to make me wait until the second book comes out so I don't have to rot over that cliffhanger haha. Or maybe I will... decisions, decisions. <3
