Stacking the Shelves (40)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Thank you Harlequin TEEN, Bloomsbury Publishing and Allen & Unwin for sending me these review copies!

Shadow Study (Soulfinders #1) by Maria V. Snyder
Internally: OMGGGGGGG! VALEK!!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO READ YOU! ......My precious......

Types: I am seriously excited for this book, I absolutely adored the Study series and I cannot wait to get back into the fantastic world and see what has happened since Fire Study. Oh, and I can't wait to see my Valek again *sigh*

Soul Print by Megan Miranda
The Mime Order (The Bone Season #2) by Samantha Shannon
Soul Print sounds really intriguing. I read Fracture by this author a few years ago and it was brilliant, so I'm looking forward to reading another one of her books. Hmm, I'm not sure about the cover though. I love the whole two heads and water thing, but I really don't like the swirls (that resemble finger prints) all around the book. It's a lot more bold in person. I would have liked it better if the finger print thing was gone and it was just a plain white background.
MIME ORDER!! Whoop Whoop, this is already amazing, I'm around half way through and I can't get enough. This series is definitely one to watch out for. You can see my review of The Bone Season and The Mime Order as part of the Mime Order Blog Tour (22nd Jan). Here is the tour schedule:

A Small Madness by Dianne Touchell
The blurb doesn't say too much about this book, but I'm definitely curious to find out what it is actually about.

Torn (Trylle #2) by Amanda Hocking
I've been wanting to read this series for ages!! I've brought the other two books in this series online, because I could only find this one in the shop. Can't wait to see what all the hype is about!

  1. This is quite the haul you got there. I recently got the Bone Season because of all the hype around it. I kind of want to know what all the fuss is about. I've heard Mime Order is apparantely as good. I hope you enjoy it.

    1. The Bone Season and The Mime Order are brilliant! But, let me just say that it's wise to take Bone Season slow just so that everything isn't so confusing (which a lot of people are saying, but I never found it true for me). Thank you!

  2. WOOPWOOP MIME ORDER!!!! I haven't dived into it yet but I'm so excited to start it! Need to kinda refresh my memory on The Bone Season though, I've almost forgotten everything that's happened. I read the first book in the Study series and really enjoyed it! No idea why I didnt continue, didn't even realise there was another one out this year! Enjoy your new books lovely :)

P.S. Feels like forever since I've been on your blog!

    1. YAAY! I loved it! Oh, go onto Recaptains, they have a recap on the Bone Season and it's perfect! I re-read the study series last year, and it's still just as brilliant as it was originally (*sigh* Valek). You should definitely re-read Poison Study and read the rest of the series as well, especially now that this new/continuation series is coming out :)

  3. SHADOW STUDY! I seriously never thought this book would happen and now that it is - I am so freaking excited. I thought FIRE STUDY would be the end of Valek + Yelena but now there is more. And there's going to be two books more and I just *INTENSE FLAILING* I cannot wait to read it. But I really want to re-read the first three because I binge read them YEARS AGO, and I don't want to have forgotten anything.

    1. YES! I'm reading it right now, but I can't comment on it yet because I've only finished one chapter. Oh, but that one chapter was intense! And swoony. I'm so happy to see some Yelena & Valek lovin so early on :D I didn't know there would be more until she announced on her facebook page that there would be! I guess a lot of people wanted more to the story, not that I'm complaining :D *intense flails with you*
Well, already this book has kind of given me a recap of what happened in the original trilogy, so you might not need to re-read them?

Thanks for leaving a comment, I love hearing what you have to say and talking to you all!
