Stacking the Shelves (44)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Thank you Allen & Unwin Australia, Scholastic Australia and PanMacmillan Australia for sending me these review copies!

Every Move (Every trilogy #3) by Ellie Marney
I'm so freaking excited to finally start this trilogy! I've heard so many brilliant things about it, and just to make me even more excited, it's Sherlock-y! I love all things Sherlock, so I'm bound to love this trilogy.
Be on the look out for the Australian Blog Tour for Every Move. I'll be posting a review of the entire trilogy.

Sweet Damage by Rebecca James

I've only read Cooper Bartholomew is Dead by Rebecca James, and it was a great book, I'm hoping that this book is just as riveting. I'm wondering if all her books are going to be getting the Cooper B cover treatment? Same font and same style cover.

Before the Fire by Sarah Butler
I've never heard of this book or author before I got this in the post, but I've already started it and it's ok so far. I haven't gotten very far in the book, only a few chapters in, but I'm not sure if I'm liking Stick so far. He's the kind of guy that I really hate, doesn't give a shit, drinks until he passes out, does casual one-nighters (or bathroom sessions), and smokes anything to everything. Hopefully when J shows up, things start to change for him.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
I have heard about this series (well, her books in general) for what feels like forever! I haven't yet read any of her books, but I'm eagerly wanting to get my greedy hands on hardbacks of the first two books in this series, so I can finally get why everyone loves Maggie. Oh, and I can't forget to mention how this is so PRETTEH!

All Fall Down (Embassy Row #1) by Ally Carter
Another author I've heard only good things about, Ally Carter and her Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series'. I'm curious about this book, not exactly sure what to expect, but I'm hoping it is as good as it looks. Another gorgeous cover!

On the weekend, you might already know that I went traversing all the bookstores in Sydney with Jaz from Fiction in Fiction in Fiction and it was such a fantastic day! We brought books, and looked in bookstores for about 8 hours (and had some amazing food, so yummy).
Here are the books I brought:

Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
Purchasing this book has quite a little story to it, so, instead of telling it again, you can see my story on Instagram. This hardback is so beautiful in person, and it even looks good naked ;)

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Melissa Meyer
Look! Can you see the back of my Cress bookmark! They look fabulous together, if I do say so myself. (Psst, you can see my Dreams of Gods & Monsters bookmark in the back as well, it's signed).
I brought this book on a whim, because I had the first two, then I got Fairest in the mail as a review copy last week, so I knew eventually I had to get it. I cannot wait to get started on this series, I've heard mixed things, but fingers crossed it's brilliant.

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness Before Dawn #1), Blood-Kissed Sky (Darkness Before Dawn #2), and After Daybreak (Darkness Before Dawn #3) by J.A. London
I admit, I brought this series based on it's covers. But then Jaz  gave me another reason and told me that she really likes this series! WIN *fist pump*.
Now I need to print out some bookmarks to go with them :D

The reason why Jaz and I decided to meet up in the city was mainly because I won her bloggerversary giveaway! What's better than seeing a friend, saving shipping (we all know this heartache), and fangirling all day long about Sarah J. Maas?

You might have already seen Falling into Place in my previous STS from HarperCollins, and i had a feeling it was from the giveaway, but Jaz confirmed it so I included it in this pic :) She also included a really sweet note on beautiful paper and TBD bookmarks (I swear, TBD bookmarks are like Pokemon, you've gotta catch 'em all)

I've got the first two already as well. I've read the Darkness Before Dawn series too and agree with Jaz, I loved it as well. It's beautifully written. 3. This is a Fantastic Haul! I'm shocked you haven't read any of Maggie Stiefvater's work!! I enjoyed Shiver but Linger and Forever are not my favorite. I might suggest starting with The Raven Boys :) So good! Cruel Beauty is Amazing!! I have an ARC but I really need to own a Hardcover. And if it makes you feel any better I also own the Darkness Before Dawn series haha but I'm a sucker for vampires :D

    1. Thanks! I know, I feel so out of the loop at the moment. But, I do own her books now! I've got two whole series (well, Raven Boys is incomplete because Raven King hasn't come out yet) My mum actually just finished Cruel Beauty and she really loved it. I'm really excited to read it now, especially because everyone is raving about it
