Stacking the Shelves (48)

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.

Thank you Bloomsbury Australia, Penguin TEEN Australia and HarperCollins Australia for sending me these review copies!

Weightless by Sarah Brannan

I hadn't heard anything about this book until Bloomsbury sent out a press release for it, but it sounds very interesting. I cannot wait to read this book and see exactly what it's all about. You know what, it kind of reminds me of that movie from a while back that was some sort of Snow White retelling (not Snow White and the Huntsman), but a very chick flick kind of movie. They had that rank online to see who was the hottest, or some stupid thing like that. So you can see why from reading the blurb why I was reminded of that. Oh well, let's see where this book takes us.

Thanks HarperCollins Australia

The Wicked Will Rise (Dorothy Must Die #2) by Danielle Paige

So, I've already finished this, and let me just say that this book is pure wicked-ness. I kid you not, it's dark and full of surprises. You get to see what it really means to be Wicked and where it all comes from, as well as see new parts of Oz and a whole heap other stuff. I really had trouble trying to review this book, so when I post it, just bear with me. I'm still trying to get over what happened in the end.
Unleashed (Uninvited #2) by Sophie Jordan
This series sounds amazing! I loved Sophie's Firelight trilogy (not that I've finished the trilogy or anything), and I've been craving to read these books since I first saw that she was releasing a new YA trilogy. Hello, who wouldn't want a book where her DNA says that she is a/will be a murderer. AND, look at her cool hair on the cover! Yep, definitely reading this series very very soon. Oh, and yes, I have a perfume named after me :D (Yes, it smells divine, and it's my fave) and the Paris candle smells like Pears and Vanilla *faints from wonderful smell*

Thanks Penguin Teen Australia
What If by Rebecca Donovan

I'm currently reading this book now actually. I can't really say much, except that it's kind of reminding me (with the whole Nicole/Nyelle mystery) of Vanishing Girls. Plus, I'm kind of having a little bit of a hard time trying to get into it properly. I know it's because I've been reading all fantasy books lately, so going from fantasy to mystery-contemporary is a big leap into cold water. Oh well, I'm not that far in anyway (chapter 6 as I type), and I am pretty intrigued with Nicole's family and what happened...

Sinner (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #4) by Maggie Stiefvater
So... I went from owning one Maggie book (that wasn't even the first of a series) a month or two ago, to now owning an entire series in hardback! I've been looking around at Sinner for a while now to complete this trilogy, and I found it at Big W for $14!!! Yep, in all other bookstores it's $24. I'm not even joking, it was the last one on the shelf and I had to get someone to price check it for me (because the stupid self check wasn't working on it). I practically had my jaw dropping against the counter after they told me. Of course, I had to swipe it up, who could resist a hardback in perfect condition for a cheap price. Definitely not this girl.

    1. It was actually really good. I had a few little issues with it, but it was absolutely brilliant overall. It will seriously break your heart, so beware! I'm definitely going to have to take a look at her Breathing series now :)
